It's World Asthma Day, a day dedicated to creating awareness of asthma.
Would you know what to do in the event of someone having an asthma attack? As a mom of a child with asthma, I know how to help my child when she has an attack. It doesn't stop it being a very frightening experience though.
As a teacher, before I had my own children, I had no training about coping with a child with asthma. The severity of attacks can vary but sometimes they can be severe enough to kill.
